Nancy Marie Dunbar's Obituary
Nancy Marie Dunbar of Eustis, Florida passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the age of 79. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan to the late, Robert Henry and Gloria Ann Bader. Growing up in Saginaw, she loved to go boating and fishing with her dad on Lake Huron. Nancy went to school and began her career as a Registered Nurse. In 1979, Nancy relocated to South Florida and settled in Fort Lauderdale. In the early 1980’s, she met Larry Dunbar. After 9 years of courtship, they married. Nancy and Larry moved to Lake County, Florida in 1996. Nancy finished out the last 12 years of her career as an RN for the VA in Daytona. She loved to cook and bake, especially in her retirement years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry on August 28, 2019 after 26 years of marriage. Nancy is remembered and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Linda McClean, Piper Halliday, Wendy Halliday (Jim Smith) and Heather (Donnie) Steverson, all of Eustis; brothers, Edward (Kathy) Bader of Saginaw and Matthew Bader of Midland, Michigan; life long best friends for life Sandy Rae of Pompano Beach, Florida and Priscilla Gorte of Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Justin McClean of California, Jessica Chechile of Eustis, Kortney Keating of West Palm Beach, Florida, Kennie Steverson of Umatilla, Florida and Brooke Rohrbaugh of Eustis; great grandchildren, Bailey, Brantley, Avery and Teddy; and her precious pet Shih Tzu, Priscilla.
