Murray Jack Rosenberg's Obituary
Murray Jack Rosenberg of Eustis, Florida passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the age of 89 years. He was born in the Bronx, New York. Murray proudly served his country in the US Army in the Korean War and worked in the medical lab in Korea. He owned 2 medical labs in the Bronx and later worked as a supervisor of a medical lab upstate until his retirement. Murray was a member of the Jewish War Veterans Neuman Goldman Post where he served as Bronx County Commander. He moved to Miami, Florida and later relocated to this area in 1990. He was a member of the Cassia Community Club. Murray loved to travel and he also enjoyed playing Chess. He became a skilled professional at photography as well.
Murray is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 44 years, Irene; daughter, Rona (Robert) Rosenberg-Friedman of New Paltz, New York and Singer Island, Florida; daughter, Judy Rosenberg of Highland, New York; son, Kenneth (Lori) Rosenberg of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; son, Kurt (Elizabeth) Heitmann of Garrison, New York; daughter, Christa (Peter) Heitmann-Franke of New Durham, New Hampshire; brother, Dr. Marvin (Baylie) Rosenberg of Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Heather (Jason) White, Dara (Jesse) Clausson, Paul Nocket, Jake Heitmann, Ramsey Heitmann, Daniel Heitmann, Nils Franke and Liv Franke; and great grandchildren, Judah, Matilda, Maeve, Emma and Nora.
A graveside ceremony will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM in the Seminole Springs Cemetery in Eustis. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his honor to Temple Israel, P.O. Box 1808, Deland, FL 32721-1808; http://www.templeisraelofdeland.org
