Michael F. Zorbo's Obituary
Michael F. Zorbo of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015 at the age of 74 years. He was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on July 19, 1941. Michael proudly served his country as an Army Ranger and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was the owner of Rare Earth Nursery in Pittsfield for 20 years and then opened Rare Earth Nursery in Savannah, Georgia for 12 years. He relocated to Florida in 2002 and opened Mike’s Quality Plants in Umatilla, Florida. Mike is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife, Jean; son, Marc Zorbo and his wife, Kim of Guyton, Georgia; step daughter, Lisa Bennett and her husband, Scott of Peachtree City, Georgia; sister, Sandra Jordon of Pittsfield; and grandchildren, Madison Zorbo of England, Michaela Zorbo of Guyton, Zachary Zorbo of Guyton, Mark Bennett of Pooler, GA, Christopher Bennett of Kathleen, GA, Nicholas Bennett of Peachtree City, Zachary Bennett of Peachtree City, Gabrielle Bennett of Peachtree City and Max Bennett of Peachtree City. A memorial ceremony will be held in the near future at Lake Eustis Christian Church in Eustis, FL. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
