I have been out of touch, and haven't seen Michael since high school. My memories of him from then are all good ones. Mike, you left us too soon. Godspeed and we'll see you in the next world. As the Irish say, "...and may you be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows you're dead!"
Sorry to hear he passed, I'm not on Facebook as often as I used to be. I just found out today 3/31/2017 just checking FB for a different reason. Sympathies to all who knew Michael, friends and relatives. I remember back in the 70s when we were out there in New Jersey visiting. We were playing chess. Had fun. Hope to play some chess with you again Mitch. Hope to see everyone again sometime. We will be keeping everyone in our prayers.

This hurts. You always think you have time to look people up from the old days and then this. I didn't have a whole lot of friends in high school as an underclassman, but Mike was one of the few. He was genuinely one of the friendliest people I knew and really the gateway into meeting more of the Gans clan. So I only knew him a couple years, but I considered him a very good friend and always had it on my back-burner to look him up. I'm truly sorry he passed too soon and I wish his family some comfort.
I remember when mike,jenny,joey,Johnathon all would come down to carrabelle to visit me and spend the day at beach together. I eventually I moved to Tallahassee to live with them while going to school become part of the family. I will never forget mike. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

A wonderful memory I have of Mike was a late night trip to Barnaby's (with Matthea). Just what Mike wanted at his place of employment I'm sure...his 11/12 year old sister and her friend "sampling" the beer dough. 😀
I remember Mike with tears. The Gans gang are step-children. Even though their father has passed away, I still consider myself as their "mother", their only surviving parent. I will miss Mike greatly.... -Elly Gans
