Martha Jean Picolo's Obituary
Picolo, Martha Jean, 79, of Eustis, FL passed away peacefully on August 24th, 2020 at Advent Waterman Medical Center in Eustis, FL. Martha was born in Springfield, Ohio on October 5th, 1940. Martha was the Daughter of William Catlett and Doris (Hess) Blair.
Martha spent her professional life in the banking industry and retired in 1997 from Merchants & Mechanics Savings and Loan (M&M). Overall, Martha spent over 25 years in the financial services industry.
Martha is survived by her loving Husband of 45 years, Richard Picolo. Sons Kevin Bennett of Orlando, FL and Jeff (Lisa) Bennett of Ocala, FL and Daughter Sandy Stevens of Springfield, OH. Grandchildren Chase Bennett and Eden Bennett of Orlando, FL. Jackson Bennett and Sawyer Bennett of Ocala, FL. Emily (Brian) Bennington, Kyle Bevan and Daniel Bevan, all of Springfield, OH. Great Grandchildren Hailey Baker, Carson Bennington and Kennedy Rae Bennington. Martha is preceded in death by both of her parents and one Grandchild, Kelly Michelle Bevan. Martha had a special place in her heart for her loving dog, Precious.
Martha enjoyed many of life’s pleasures including vacation travel, day trips to the beach, sunbathing, playing Bingo and many card games. But far and away, Martha’s biggest pleasure came when time was being spent with her family.
Cremation services will be handled by Hamlin & Hilbush Funeral Directors, Eustis, FL
Her family is planning a small private ceremony to celebrate the life of Martha.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution be considered to the Alzheimers Association of America in Martha Picolo’s name at alz.org or call 800-272-3900.
