Marjorie Stook Collins' Obituary
Marjorie Stook Collins, age 96, passed away peacefully in Mt. Dora FL on December 17, 2020. Marjorie was the daughter of Edna (Benkert) and Jacob Stook.
Margie is survived by her sister Marion Tallman, Verona, NY; cousin Florence Bentley, Rochester, NY; sister-in-law Connie Reed, Oneonta, NY; brother-in-law Edward (Ted) Collins, Oneida, NY; five children, Conrad Collins, Jr (Jane) of Melbourne, FL; daughters Karen Conrad (Gil) Eustis, FL; Dawn James (Michael) Tallahassee, FL; Lisa Esch (Paul) Verona, NY; April Slater (Fred) Homestead, FL; 16 Grand and 20 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Conrad Collins Sr., sister Erma Stook and great-grandson Miguel Alaniz.
Margie was born on December 3rd, 1924 in Lima, NY, and grew up in Verona, NY. Margie loved horses, music, her family and her strong Christian faith. She was a talented artist and author. She worked as a cosmetologist before obtaining her teaching degree from SUNY, then taught Cosmetology for 15 years at NY BOCES and FL VOTECH.
Burial will be at the Florida National Veterans Cemetery in Bushnell FL . A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Donations to the Alzheimer's Assoc.
