Marjorie Ellen Boyd's Obituary
Marjorie Ellen Boyd, 96, of Mount Dora, Florida, passed on from this life into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 24, 2026. She was born on July 19, 1929, in Pitcairn, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William Hartness and Minnie Rosella (Adam) Skiles.
Marjorie was the beloved wife of 52 years of Elmer Ruffner Boyd, who passed away in 2002. They were married in Pitcairn, PA, on October 7, 1950. She was the mother of Becky Ann (Hugh) White, of Mount Dora, FL, and Skiles William (Connie) Boyd, of Canton, MI. Also surviving are four much-loved grandchildren, Autumn (Ryan) Sheppard, Joshua (Jayme) White, Erin (Zach Martin) Peckinpaugh, and Moriah (Ryan) Bloom. She was known and loved as GeeGee by her eight great grandchildren, Riley, Grace, Emma and Avrie Sheppard, Jack Peckinpaugh, Eden Bloom, Mackenzie White and Ruby Martin.
Mrs. Boyd was a second grade and then fourth grade teacher in Pitcairn, PA for 25 years. She received her masters degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh. She retired to Lake Wales, Florida, in 1988 and in later years moved to Tavares, FL. She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church, Lake Wales, FL.
