Marilyn Ruth Stampfli Pierson's Obituary
Marilyn was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to John K. and Evelyn Johnson Stampfli, Marilyn was a former architect, librarian, and billing clerk before moving to Florida in 1972. She retired from Lake Community Hospital in Leesburg as the materials manager, then later worked for Leesburg Regional Hospital and the North Lake Outpost. So fiercely loved by her family, she was full of wit, wisdom and encouragement, a counselor to us all, and was a great influence, especially on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a selfless, loving, caring, and extremely giving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who loved gardening, cooking, sewing, writing, sketching, crafting, and most of all, her family. Marilyn was a long-time member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Eustis, singing in the choir, serving on the Altar Guild, and playing handbells in the handbell choir. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jack. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Suzanne (Richard) Kiefer of Umatilla, son, Mark Pierson of Lady Lake, grandchildren Sarah (Jeffrey) Spears of Tavares, Rachel (Anthony) Gutierrez of Orlando, Emily Hollen, Bowling Green, Ky., David Pierson, Lady Lake, and great-grandchildren Ashlyn and Morgan Padgett, Umatilla, and Logan Haggerty, Orlando. She will be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Saturday December 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on the corner of Lemon and Mary Streets in Eustis.
