I read this poem often as a child from its place over the desk in the office.
Sleep well my dear mother...j
I took a piece of plastic clay
And idly fashioned it one day,
And as my fingers pressed it still,
It moved and yielded at my will.
I came again when days were past;
The bit of clay was hard at last,
The form I gave it still it bore,
But I could change that form no more.
I took a piece of living clay,
And gently formed it day by day,
And molded with my power and art
A young child’s soft and yielding heart.
I came again when days were gone;
It was a man I looked upon;
That early impress still he wore,
And I could change it never more.

Marion always had a smile and was always cheerful to me when we worked together, One time I got caught in the rain and was soaked, she took me home gave me her robe, dried my clothes, gave me a cup of hot coffee then took me back to work. She always had a warm place in my heart. God Bless you!

Dear Family of Marian,
What a wonderful neighbor I've had for so many years. Memories of her and the family bring smiles. She will be greatly missed.
