Special Memories of My Sister
Just a rambling of my special memories I have of Liz.
She and my other sister were closer in age and grew up together. I came along late in in the family.
How she wanted to be called Liz and I always tormented her by calling her Margaret :)
The time she took me to our local lake when she was an older teenager and I was just a little kid.
She sat on the beach wearing a red bikini, putting on baby oil and flirting with a boy.
When she let me go in the water even though Mom said no
Her first car, a beautiful robin egg blue Corvair
The day she moved out of the house to her first apartment
Always wondering what was going on :) because she would never say
The Christmas she and Jane gave me a tiny little grey kitten, Emily
Her first house and how proud she was of it
She made the best potato salad, salisbury steak and chicken crepes
Her love of her furbabies. She loved Molly with all her heart. She had rescued several pets.
A beautiful calico cat, named Heidi, a ginger named Kimmie. Her spaniels were her babies.
She took on a small pup to keep it alive, got her healthy from mange and other illnesses.
They were her children and they oh so loved her
Our adult family vacations to the Bahamas, Mexico and Captiva and Sanibel Island
She loved taking walks on the beach and picking up shells. Sitting quietly on the veranda reading.
Memories of going out for dinner and embarrassing her by asking for ketchup
Getting her to go on special outings while on vacation, things she would have never have done :)
Today as you are laid to rest know how very much I loved you and always will. I know that you are
are with Mom and Dad, safe, warm and in no more pain. Now I have 3 special guardian angels
always looking over my shoulder
