My heart is saddened by the loss of this soft spoken sweet woman. I first met Maggie in 1974 when my brother Mike was going to marry her daughter Connie. I was asked to be a bridesmaid in their wedding. I went to Florida to stay at the lovely home of Maggie and Leonard in Sarasota, Florida prior to the wedding. Maggie hugged me like I was family. She treated me as though she had known me all my life. She spoiled me by buying me things and made me feel loved and welcomed. Leonard was the same. Always kind and genuine. I absolutely loved his cooking. Especially his chili. Maggie worked hard during the day and came home ready to help and assist however needed to make Connie and Mike's wedding a wonderful day and a happy memory for years to come. Maggie went above and beyond the call of motherhood to make Connie's wedding day special. Everything was beautiful.
Since, I have always been welcomed into her home as family. She always had kind words to share about me and my mother. Every year she sent a birthday card to my mother without fail. My mother used to be astonished as to how Maggie could always remember her birthday. My mother would also remark about how beautiful Maggie's skin was. My mother was a bit jealous because Maggie was older than she was. 😊 Maggie always had a smile on her face and a kind comment to share. She was a thoughtful and kind woman to many. Her sweet spirit will be missed but never forgotten. Rest with the Lord sweet Maggie. ❤️
