Luis E. "Lou" Morales' Obituary
Mr. Luis E. Morales of Mount Dora, Florida passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the age of 71 years. He was born in Aguada, Puerto Rico to Luis and Perfecta Morales. Luis served his country in the US Air Force during Vietnam. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after a long career of more than 30 years. He and his wife, Judy, moved to this area in 2006 from Kansas City, Missouri. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mount Dora. Luis loved gardening and tinkering in the garage. He could fix anything. He was a gentle man and a friend and neighbor to all. He was always willing to help out or loan a tool. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 14 years, Judy; sons, Luis Anthony (Robin) Morales of Los Alamos, New Mexico, Robert Mourey of Issaquah, Washington, Wesley Clark and Andy Clark, both of Olathe, Kansas; daughters, Melinda Morales of Chicago, Illinois, Susan (Bill) Lukas of Greenfield, Wisconsin and Sherry (Paul) Willett of Call, Texas; brother, Reinaldo (Soledad) Morales of Burke, Virginia; sister, Myrtellina (John) Grasso of Seneca, South Carolina; as well as 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.Friends were invited to gather on Wednesday, November 28 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass was held on Thursday at 9:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mount Dora. Inurnment followed at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cornerstone Hospice or the Lake County Humane Society.
