I was blessed with the most amazing uncle Louie. He brought so many laughs to my world! As a little girl he would make me laugh so hard I wet my pants. We didn’t see him often as a veteran like most of his brothers. When we did it was always an event!
After he retired from the navy he moved to Florida with his second wife. I always wondered if he had a thing for Mary’s. It seemed he was always looking for a Red Head and often sang about it. He was a happy old gent. He could make a song or a rhyme out of everything.
When I was young I remember he liked to help in the kitchen. He surely enjoyed his mom’s cooking! Who didn’t? Doing dishes ment, is the best of the leftovers! He also enjoyed laughing with his sisters and nieces. We all loved his joyful personality.
In 1904 on a trip to Florida I looked up my silly uncle. What wonderful times we had! We traveled to see family he hadn’t seen in many years. Uncle Louie was my husbands best man. At my wedding reception he was reunited with his oldest son. It was a multi celebration! Shortly after he was reunited with the rest of his children. We all shared many happy times.
I will always love and cherish my father figure and great friend. Uncle Louie you made me laugh so much more than you made me cry. I love you Always!
