Linda Lee Rountree's Obituary
Linda Lee Rountree 74, of Ferndale, passed away on April 11, 2014. She was born in Miami, Florida and moved to this area in 1982. Linda Rountree was one of those rare people who possessed the ability to make others feel comfortable. She developed deep friendships with many people; from her sisters to sister‘s in- laws, school friends to library buddies, she loved them all deeply. She made those around her feel at home and had a true desire to serve.
Linda embodied the gift of service. She was happiest making life easy and fun for others, she loved to cook, play cards and be with her friends. She was a critical link in keeping her family close. She would take the time and make the effort to see her family and be by their side when they needed her the most. She made difficult situations and circumstances seem easy, she was a natural at being with people in need. Her ability to see a need and fill it will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Linda Rountree will be a name that many will hold dearly. She has brought many people comfort, strength, and most of all joy. Her legacy will be her faith in Christ and his amazing grace over her life. Her peace in her last days was the result of knowing she served a God who loved her unconditionally and made a way for her to know Him. Linda is survived by her husband Clyde, they were married for 53 years, also surviving are her children Mary Lynn (Jon) Aycrigg of Maitland, Florida and Clyde (Christine) Rountree of Nashville, Tennessee, seven grandchildren and her sisters; Marion Appel of Purcellville, Virginia, Suzanne Beatrice of Ocala, Florida and Marsha Repp of Gainesville, Florida. Services will be held on Monday at 1 PM at 1841 Lake Terrace Drive, Eustis, Florida 32726.
