Leslie Lynne Larsen's Obituary
Leslie Lynne Larsen
October 9, 1969 – November 26, 2018
On Monday, November 26, 2018, Leslie Lynne Larsen passed away unexpectedly in Waynesville, North Carolina at the age of 49. Leslie was born on October 9, 1969 in Gainesville, Florida to Barry and Jo Ann Larsen. In addition to her parents, Leslie is survived by the love of her life, her daughter, Samantha Lynne Stewart; her younger brother Tim Larsen, his wife Stacy and their four children; Brandon, Emily, Cade and Brody, her younger sister Deborah Tilghman, her husband Rick and their two children; Olivia and Richard; Samantha’s father, James Stewart and Samantha’s step father, Cliff Patterson.
Leslie is also survived by family not by blood but by heart – Myra Huey, Michael Gambill and his wife Tara, Matt Gambill and his wife Morgan, Megan Gambill Robinson and her husband Phillip, and many other precious friends who she held dear in her heart.
Anyone who knew Leslie knew that she lived with a curiosity and passion and was always looking for her next great adventure. She provided an environment for her daughter, Samantha, to discover her own passions and learn an unbiased approach to life. She had a great love of animals and, while encouraging Samantha’s love of horses, fell in love with riding and caring for them herself. She was an avid runner, loved horseback riding and hiking and camping with Oscar, her much loved Labradoodle. Leslie had insatiable desire to experience nature in all of it’s elements, and she loved her family and friends fiercely. She lit up every room she walked into with the smile on her face, laughter in her voice and energy in her heart.
May her spirit fly in the places her heart always imagined it would.
A celebration of life will be held in Leslie’s honor at Lakes of Mount Dora Clubhouse in Mount Dora on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM.
