Leonard "Gene" E. Taylor's Obituary
Leonard E. “Gene” Taylor of Lady Lake, Florida passed away on Monday, February 5, 2019 at the age of 80 years. He was born in Fairmont, West Virginia. He moved to this area from Fairmont in 1983. Gene worked as a semi-truck driver for 55 years before retiring. He was a member of the Lady Lake Church of God. Gene was a huge race fan. He loved cars and drove race cars as a young man. He also enjoyed watching football. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Donna Taylor of Fairmont; son and daughter-in-law, Bub and Michele Taylor of Fairmont; daughter and son-in-law, Candi and David Arnette of Fruitland Park, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Ronnie Rokisky of Fruitland Park; brothers, Dick (Twila) Taylor and Chuck (Donna) Taylor, both of Mercer, Pennsylvania; as well as seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial ceremony will be held in his honor on Saturday, February 9 at 11:00 am at the Lady Lake Church of God.
