Laura M. O'Berry DeCubellis' Obituary
Laura Mae O’Berry DeCubellis went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 24, 2015. She was 58. Laura was born in Tampa. She lived in Eustis for many years and worked at the Golden Corral restaurant, where she loved being around her customers. Laura was an absolutely beautiful, kind, loving person with the heart of a lion. She was compassionate and thoughtful. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. She enjoyed making others smile and letting them know they were appreciated. She was available for anyone that needed to talk and was never judgmental. She loved the outdoors. One of her favorite activities was mowing the lawn. She enjoyed reading and rescuing kittens and dogs. Laura appreciated life to the fullest and loved her family, her children and her grandchildren. She adored all animals, especially her cats and dogs. Laura loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an amazing mother and gave more than most. She moved to Winter Haven and married her husband, Steve, and helped him manage their business. She is remembered and will be dearly missed by husband, Stephen; mother, Wanda O’Berry; son, Christopher (Kathy) Rime; daughters, Wanda Nettles and Laura Rackley (Stan) Honeycutt; sisters, Leslie O’Berry Kelley and her husband, Tom and Patricia O’Berry; brother, Marty O’Berry; 8 grandchildren, 2 nieces, 2 nephews, 7 great nieces, 2 great nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack O’Berry and her brother Michael J. O’Berry. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, October 3 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home. A memorial ceremony will start at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
