Kathleen "Grace" Bell's Obituary
Kathleen “Grace” Bell of Eustis, Florida passed away on Monday August 7, 2023, at the age of 97. Grace was born to her parents Albert and Amy Newman on June 30, 1926, in Kingston, Jamaica. Grace started her career as a Registered Nurse in Jamaica. She also purchased a dry-cleaning business and invited her husband Vincent Bell to manage it. The business was open from the late 50’s to 1977, when they decided to move to Miami, Florida. In 2013 Grace moved to Eustis, Florida where she spent the remainder of her life. She attended a small Christian home church throughout her time in Eustis. To everyone that knew her, she was known for being a loving, kind, and giving person. She was known for her ability to soften people and help them let their own light out. She saw the good in people and spent her life being selfless and humble to everyone she encountered.
Grace is preceded in death by husband Vincent Lloyd "Rutty" Bell on March 19, 2008, and by father Albert Pearce "Daddy Bert" Newman, mother Amy Gwendolyn (Burton) Newman, brothers Arthur Pearce Newman, Albert Allen "Tico" Newman, and David George Newman.
Grace is survived by brothers Robert Pearce Newman (USA) and John Anthony Newman (U.K.), children Dhyan and Michael Bell, grandchildren Michael Julian Bell, John Ryan Bell, great grandchild Soleia Zen Bell, and many treasured cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members on both the Newman and the Bell sides.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 30, 2023 at 10:30 am in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel. A gathering of family and friends will be prior to the service from 9:30 am- 10:30 am.
