Uncle Julius , greeted you with a smile , had a distinct easy laugh , you could count on uncle Julius to lighten up the mood with his sense of humor when you needed it most . Never one to hide his care or concern , he & aunt Ev we’re at the hospital when dad came out of the operating room barely conscious , uncle Julius clearly full of emotion put his hand in dads and they did a secret handshake, it was a beautiful thing to see. Generous with his time and his things , I am now the proud owner of a collection of gold rimmed Pilsners with antique car decoration simply because I admired them . A loving uncle who made you believe he was your biggest fan. He was a great host who loved company, how often I’d hear him say “ when are you coming over?” Who had their motel room stocked with beverages and snacks not just for the adults but kids too , this was uncle Julius. Always dressed, up until his passing still wearing his watch and naturally as you would expect never took off his wedding ring ( refused to wear his glasses though , a touch of vanity and why not with his Robert Mitchum good looks.) Always the romantic he referred to aunt Evelyn affectionately as “Sugar Plum”. He showed up no matter where no matter when or how far , uncle Julius wanted to be there . When dad was in the hospital for weeks he and aunt Ev rarely missed a day of visiting (“the Roger Brennan fan club”I used to call them.) I know I speak for my whole family when I say we loved him , we’ll miss him and are just so grateful to have known him .To my beautiful aunt Evelyn , cousin Carolyn and the grandchildren my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time as you prepare to say goodbye , God bless you , with all our love , Linda , Jack & family
