Joyce C. Verkaik's Obituary
On the evening of Monday, August 8, 2016, our Lord reached down with a very gentle hand to the greatest women who ever lived, our loving wife and mother, Joyce C. Verkaik and took her home.
She will be remembered for her smile that lit up a room and her laughter that filled our hearts with joy.
Joyce was the beloved wife of John Verkaik for 50 ¾ years; much loved mother of Cameron Verkaik of Tavares, Roland (Leslie) Verkaik of Eustis, Kimberly Beatson of Jacksonville, Deanna Verkaik of Grand Island, Charlene (Chris) deGroot of Grand Island and Grandmother to Austin, Benjamin, Jeremy, Samuel, Jonathan, Holland, Summer and Van.
She is survived by her sisters Andrea (Gerry) de Waal, Ina (Jim) Mellegers, and Grace (Harry) dePeuter. Predeceased by her sisters Tiny de Gier and Mary Quartel.
Joyce will be missed by all of the Verkaik family.
Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing on Friday, August 12 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Viewing will also be held on Saturday from 9:30 until 10:30 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis. A funeral ceremony will follow the viewing and start at 11:00 am in the main church sanctuary.
Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
