Joyce Arline (Rozler) McCall's Obituary
Joyce went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 2:55 a.m. She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, George Stanley (Stan) McCall; three children: Luann (Mike) McCutcheon, Clark (Debra) McCall, and Andrea (Ed) Kessler; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren: Kelly and Mark (Jen) McCutcheon and sons, Jack and Will; Ryan (Katie Manfuso) and daughter, Sawyer; Whitney (Greg) Hierro and Kylee McCall; Hayley, Shelby, Payge and Payton Kessler. She is also survived by her brother, Frank Rozler, Jr. and was preceded in death by her sister Carol (Don) Conkel.
Joyce was born in Buffalo, NY to Frank and Arline Rozler on August 23, 1936. She lived in Lancaster, NY for the majority of her childhood until she moved to Florida in 1953. She met Stan, her high school sweetheart, at Pompano Beach High School. They were married on June 10, 1956. They lived in Pompano Beach and Lighthouse Point before moving to Umatilla, FL in 1997.
Joyce was a dedicated wife and mother. After her children were grown, she worked at Pompano Beach Elementary and Boyd Anderson High School until she retired. She and Stan loved to travel and spend summers in Maggie Valley and Lake Junaluska, NC. They were active members of First Baptist Church of Umatilla, including The Seekers Life Group, and went on several mission trips to build churches.
A celebration of life service will be held at First Baptist Church of Umatilla, FL on Saturday, July 25 at 10:00 a.m. A private graveside service will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials for Joyce to be made in her name to the Frank and Helen DeScipio Hospice House in Tavares, FL, The Dementia Society of America, or First Baptist Church of Umatilla, FL.
