Death's power is limited - it cannot eradicate memories or slay love. It cannot destroy even a threadbare faith or permanently hobble the smallest hope in God. It cannot permeate the soul and it cannot cripple the spirit. It merely separates us for awhile. That is the ONLY power it can claim. No more.My prayers are with each of you as you walk through this time of sorrow.##imported-begin##Mrs. P##imported-end##
My deepest condolences go out to the whole family of Joe. I knew him in High School. We had some classes together. He was a very nice guy. I belong to the Class of '73 group on Face Book. I have been following Gerry Runge's posts. I am truly grateful to be able to express my feelings to you all. May God bless.##imported-begin##Gayle Goetz Schmidt##imported-end##
Betsy and Family, You are in my prayers daily. May you find strength in the Lord who created us all. He gave us Joe as a gift and we wil never be the same for the footprint he left on our lives. We can look to a time when we will all be together again. Love, Kim##imported-begin##Kim Runge##imported-end##
Joey Wolfer and his family were a huge part of my life growing up in Crestwood. Their house was my second home. Gretchen his sister was my best friend and still is. Joey was kind, smart, compasionate, talented and so patient with two crazy teenage girls. I have the fondest memories of my life with the Wolfer family. Rowing a boat on Fox Lake, jumping in and Joey trying to pull both us crazy girls back in the row boat. Calm as can be. He would just roll with the punches. I heard daily of his brave fight with cancer and how he set an example for his family and everyone who knew him. My heart breaks for Betsy and his children and my dearst friend Gretchen and her Mom Carol. But I am so greatful for the wonderful memories of a sweet man who will always be my surrogate big brother. Joe you are finally free of pain and playing your piano and singing Jim Croche songs. The Patchin kids will never forget you. xoxo##imported-begin##Chris Patchin Kirinovic##imported-end##

Betsy and Family,Please accept my deepest sympathy. I knew Joe through my job (Peace River Citrus Products). I will always remember his smile, kind manner and sweet spirit. We certainly enjoyed the pictures he shared with us of your trip to Alaska. He will be deeply missed for a very long time. You and your family will continue to be in our prayers.Love in Christ,Barbara Altman##imported-begin##Barbara Altman##imported-end##
My deepest sympathies to the Wolfer family on the loss of Joe. I remember Joe from Eisenhower High School as we were in the same graduation class of 1973. While I don't recall a close friendship with him, he was a part of our 1973 class family, and he will be greatly missed by all of us. God be with you during this most difficult time, and I will keep you all in my prayers. Joe is now at peace with God...keep that fighting cardinal spirit going, Joe till we all meet again!##imported-begin##Marie Mednansky##imported-end##

Having known and worked with Joe since 1988. I will miss his sense of humor, smile and banter between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers along with all the stories from working together.##imported-begin##John Bohmann##imported-end##
