As I read the obituary for Mr. Joe it made me aware that his many contributions to America, Family, Friends and Business ventures were far greater than I had anticipated. We all knew of some of his achievements in business and his love of family, however he was much more, a very dynamic leader in life. When I saw Joe's obituary in the Poughkeepsie Journal the first memory that came to mind was my sister Susie and I having chocolate ice cream in your white Cadillac. My Mom often talked about that excursion and the many others that she and Dad (and sometimes the kids) enjoyed with you and Joe over the years. They both treasured your friendship. Take comfort in knowing that Joe is in the midst of many friends in heaven but especially Betty and Tom Lynch.

My brother Tommy let me know of Joe's passing. I remember when I was 13 years old, I was the coat checker at a function at the Knights of Columbus. Joe came in and slipped me a $5.00 tip - that was a big deal 40 years ago.
My father, Tom Lynch, always spoke with such respect about Joe and his goodness. The quarry became a second home to me, my sisters and brother. We were honored to be part of the Dutchess Quarry Family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm sure Joe and my Dad are sharing lots of stories in heaven!

I was so sad to read of the passing of Joe I have such wonderful memories of both of you when Don and I were at your home with our son Scott you gave him nickles to play the slot machine. He thought that was the greatest as he got to keep the money he won.
You both were such wonderful friends to my Mom and Dad and so good to Don and I. I am sure they were waiting for Joe, and Dad and Joe are probably playing cards

Mr Arborio was an icon in the construction industry and a generous and gracious individual. They simply don't make men like him anymore. My deepest condolences.

I am saddened to hear of Mr. Arborio's passing. My Father, Joe Kennedy, and he were good friends. They both were part of very a special generation of men that this Country will be forever grateful for. My Dad passed away in 1981. I remember Mr. and Mrs. Arborio inviting my parents to Poughkeepsie in the late 70's. He and his wife showed them all around New York, and they had a great time. I have many fond memories of years ago playing golf and being around Mr. Arborio at Pine Meadows Country Club in Eustis. He was always nice to me and fun to be with. My sympathy to all of his Family.
