John J. Straka Sr.'s Obituary
John J. Straka Sr. 82, of Eustis, passed away on June 27, 2015. He was born in East Chicago, Indiana and moved to Eustis in 1990 from Orlando. He was a retired Insurance Agency Manager, a Veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Trinity Evangelical Free Church of Eustis. John was the former Commander of the Hub City Memorial V.F.W. Post of Crown Point, Indiana and worked at Publix in Eustis for 25 years. He is survived by his wife Eleanor, they were married for 35 years. Also surviving are his children; Jeff (Edie) Straka of Crown Point, Indiana, Kole (Debbie) Straka of Hebron, Indiana, John (Dana) Straka and Melissa (Steve) Likes all of Crown Point, Indiana, Lisa (Geoff) Libich-Walker and Paul Libich all of Eustis, brothers; Ken Straka of South Carolina and Dr. Joseph A. Straka of Lisle, Illinois. He was predeceased by his son Mark in 1984 and his daughter in law Barbara Libich in 2014. Also surviving are his Kitty, Tristin and his doggie Sophie. Memorial services will be held in the Hamlin & Hilbish chapel on Monday, July 6th at 3 PM with Pastor Theo Bob officiating.
