John M. Jobo's Obituary
John M. Jobo of Eustis, Florida passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at the age of 83. He was born in Logan, West Virginia. John proudly served his country in the US Army National Guard. He worked as a contractor, building houses in Jacksonville for most of his career. John moved to the Florida Keys, living in Tavernier for several years. He moved to Eustis in 1999 from there.
John enjoyed scuba diving as well as deep sea fishing in the keys. He was a talented craftsman and could fix anything. He liked to tinker and work around the house. John was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mount Dora where he was a fourth-degree knight with the Knight of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Holland, sister, Sylvia Jobo, brother, Mack Jobo and his grandson, Jason Jobo. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his companion of 25 years, Mary Mehl; son, John Michael Jobo of Georgia; brother, William Jobo of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Mary Magdalene Spurlock of Logan, West Virginia and his great granddaughter, Thailynn Jobo of Jacksonville.
Mass is scheduled for Thursday, February 17 at 9:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Mount Dora.
