John A. Cook's Obituary
John A. Cook of Eustis, Florida passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the age of 76 years. He was born in Bryan, Ohio to John L. and Edna M. Cook. At the age of 17 he decided to join the US Army. He served his country for three years and then transferred in to the Army Reserves. In 1958 he married Loretta. They relocated to central Florida in July 1971 from Pioneer, OH, near his hometown of Bryan. He worked most of his life as a machinist and supervisor in manufacturing until his retirement. John was a wonderful family man and loved his family dearly. In his free time he enjoyed going hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking. He would spend some of his time at the Am Vets, Post # 1992 in Mount Dora. John is survived by his wife of 56 years, Loretta; daughters, Lynn Broadway and her husband, Lee of Eustis, Tammy DeLong of Eustis and Shannon Cook of Jacksonville, FL; sons, John A. Cook, Jr. and his wife, Teresa of Tavares, FL and Kevin E. Cook of Eustis; his brother, Al Cook and his wife, Elva of Bryan, OH; as well as 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A memorial ceremony will be held on Friday, December 19th at 1 PM in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
