Joan V. Baehm's Obituary
Joan Virginia (Dawson) Baehm 78, of Grand Island, Florida and Glens Falls, New York, passed away on May 25, 2015. She was born in Roosevelt, New York and was a winter resident of Grand Island since 1994. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of her church community and was a retired elementary teacher for 40 years in Glens Falls, NY with a Masters Degree. She had been a member of Alpha Sigma Phi Sorority at Oneonta State University,New York. She loved being an active participant in life. Her family and friends will remember her as being an adventurous spirit, that loved to travel the world and treasured her family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Raymond. Also surviving are her children: Raymond Baehm Jr. of Hadley, New York, Brenda Babson & husband Stephen of Ft. Edward, New York and Douglas Baehm of Hadley, New York, her siblings: Jack Dawson and Walter Dawson both of Long Island, New York, Delores Brown of Topsail Greens, North Carolina and Margaret "Peg" Wagner of Grand Island, NY; grandchildren: Robert Baehm, Samantha Pincheon and Erin Donahue and great-grandchildren: Lily Baehm and Everleigh Donahue.
