Jo Ann North, 63, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, Jo Ann’s life was a testament to the joy of family, the magic of simple pleasures, and the beauty of lifelong love.
Jo Ann met the love of her life, Michael North, and together they shared 44 wonderful years of marriage. In 1991, the couple moved to Florida, where Jo Ann found joy in creating a warm and welcoming home close to her beloved family.
Jo Ann had a deep love for her family and was fortunate to have them close by, allowing her to make countless memories and share precious time with them. She especially adored her grandchildren, whose laughter and love brought immense happiness to her life.
A creative spirit, Jo Ann enjoyed crocheting, building with Legos, and doing puzzles. She eagerly looked forward to game nights, where her competitive spirit and laughter shone bright. Her hobbies also included collecting M&M memorabilia and immersing herself in the enchanting world of Harry Potter.
Jo Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Mike; her children, David (Jennifer) North, Danielle North, and Debra (Justin) King; her parents, Joe and Flossie Iams; her brother, Tim Iams, all of Oxford; her sister, Flo (Bob) Groggett of Ohio; and her beloved grandchildren, Brandon North of Leesburg, Bailey Crosley of Oxford, and Zoey, Aiden, and Addison. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
Jo Ann’s life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, kindness, and cherished moments. Her warm smile, loving heart, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
