Jennings William Ezelle's Obituary
Jennings William Ezelle Jr. 79, of Eustis, passed away in his home on July 25, 2020. He grew up in Clewiston, Florida, the son of Dr. Jennings William Sr. and Jayme, and brother of Emma Jane Helvey. A graduate of Stetson University where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He worked and raised his family in Miami before retiring and moving to Eustis in 2004. Jennings spent most of his early career at the University of Miami and became Director of Payroll before moving on to become an accountant for the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. He played golf for his high school team and enjoyed the game for many years. He was also an avid poker player, always seizing an opportunity for a bad joke, and liked to spend time around the campfire on his back patio with his dog, Holly. Jennings religiously tracked the stock market and was happy to discuss it over a rare steak and a bourbon and Coke. He will be deeply missed by his wife Anita, recently celebrating their 50th anniversary, his daughters, Christy Ezelle of New York City and Heather Ezelle of Baltimore, Maryland, his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Marie Cole and their families in Orlando, and his nephew, Stan Crews of Washington. Jennings was a loyal husband, father and friend of many. At his request, no services are being held.
