Jeffrey P. Dennie 66, of Mount Dora, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and made Mount Dora his winter home since 2008. He was a retired Yacht Broker and the former owner of Waterline Marina in Read Obituary
Jeff named me "bird" 'cause I squatted so he thought that I appeared bird-like...I named him "crab" because he could sit in the back seat of a VW-bug and put his legs over the driver's shoulders and grab the steering wheel with his toes and drive down the interstate...no problem...he just couldn't work the peddles...that's us: bird and crab...(;^>

Jeffrey, I sure would have liked to talked to you one more time. As with my wife of 35 years that died 13 years ago. We survivers sit in so much remorse for not letting our loved ones know how much we have appreciated there friendship, help and understanding over the years, until it's to late too.
Jeff was always a friend that shared thoughts and helpful advice, never putting his self before others. Always had something positive to ad to the conversation or situation. I'm going to miss him very much and always think of him with the fondness that he deserves. I'm going to miss you bro, hopefully will meet up in the future...

I can hear Jeff laughing as he sails across a beautiful, calm, blue ocean! He is at prace and in his element! Love and hugs to the family, may peace be with you!
Jeff and I had many many great adventures over the years.
I remember the times when he was a yacht broker and we would take boats from Tampa and sail around Florida up to West Palm listening to Jimmy Buffett . I remember with great fondness our trips to Jamaica and the Virgin Islands years ago up to the fun we all had at Lake Washington. He was a very kind and giving soul and he will always be in my heart. The more I write here the more the memories come flooding back and I'm very sad to say goodbye to my dear friend.
I went to Winter Park High with Jeff and remember his outgoing personality. His friend and neighbor Jim Wright was my sweetheart until he was killed in Vietnam.
