I am so saddend to learn of Janie's passing. We enjoyed a wonderful correspondence about her Evans and Underwod families; especially the early ones that were from Champaign County, Ohio and buried in North Lewisburg. I was hoping to re-connect with her when I learned she had passed away. I will be keeping Janie in my thoughts and also her family. I met Jane at a computer security forum where she was active and we became friends about 10 years ago. She disappeared after early 2012 and I've tried to find her for quite awhile. Sadly, today I succeeded.

I first met Janie on a genealogy message board back about 2001 or 2002. She was looking for information about her Ault family history. I knew immediately she was related to me through my Alt family line. I remember she didn't think it could be the same family because her family spelled it Ault and mine Alt. I had to convince her it was originally Alt and some where along the line, her family changed it to Ault. We discovered we were actually double cousins because Alt brothers married Drew sisters. We exchanged many e-mails about genealogy, our families and our lives. I felt such a strong kinship with Janie and really bonded with her. Then she became involved in fighting computer viruses, malware and became a Microsoft MVP. In 2004 she came to Seattle to attend a Microsoft Seminar and we met at downtown hotel. My husband and I took her to dinner at a local seafood place on the waterfront and we had a nice visit. Something like two years later Janie again came to a Microsoft Seminar, this time she was staying at a hotel near Redmond, WA. Again my husband and I met Janie for a brief visit at her hotel. I cherish the memories of my visits with her and I wish we could have spent more time together.
I knew Janie (Jane) in elementary school, middle school and high school. She was a very loving and caring person at a very young age. She was accepting and devoted to making everyone she came into contact with feel important. She had the BEST slumber parties.......... :) I am sorry for you loss and ask for peace in your hearts for your beloved Jane.
Although Jane was part of my Florida family I only had the privilege of meeting her once @ a family reunion 7 years ago. I remember how impressed I was with her. She was funny and VERY smart. My heart goes out to you all.
