Jan Paxton Gnann's Obituary
Mrs. Jan Paxton Gnann, of Tavares, passed away on Thursday, October 22nd, 2009 at the age of 72 years. Born in Lenoir City, Tennessee, she moved to the Central Florida area in 1971 from Miami with her husband, Elbert, who preceded her in death after 52 years of marriage. Jan retired from sales in the fashion industry. She was a member of Family Bible Church in Eustis. She loved crocheting, gardening, scrabble and enjoyed gambling. Jan was a self educated woman who gave selfless love to her family and was a wonderful mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved people and animals and was kind to all those she met. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Linda Coffey of Tavares and Teresa Lachut of Eustis; sons Elbert R. Gnann, Jr. (Kathleen) of Eustis, Shawn Michael Gnann of Tavares and Brent Awalt of Eustis who she loved like a son; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as her two dogs, Bobo and Dusty. Friends were invited to the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on October 26, for a visitation. Funeral services were held on October 27, in the Chapel. Interment followed at Seminole Springs Cemetery.
