J’Mee Ellen Clark Dennis, born April 30, 1941, in Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away on July 5, 2026. Her life was a beautiful blend of love, creativity, curiosity, and deep affection for the people and animals she cherished.
J’Mee was married to Michael D. Dennis from April 30, 1994, until his passing on March 9, 2012. Their relationship was warm, affectionate, and full of companionship. They were best friends who understood each other deeply, almost inseparable in the way they moved through life together. Their beloved furbabies were part of their family, and they delighted in the raccoon families who lived in the marsh behind their home — especially when the raccoons brought their babies to visit. Their home was a place of love, humor, and shared wonder and adventure.
J’Mee was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; her parents, J. Hugh Clark and Maretta E. Williams; her sisters, Martha Jane Griner and Mary Jean Elmore; her brother, James Elton Clark; and her brothers‑in‑law, Leonard Smith and Raymond Smith.
She is survived by her sisters, Kathern (Richard) Watson of Plymouth, Florida; Frances Smith of Sorrento, Florida; and Susie Smith of Sorrento, Florida; her brother, Larry (Kelly) Clark of Forest City, Florida; her sister‑in‑law, Ruth Clark of Plymouth, Florida; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
J’Mee had a deep love for her family and a tender heart for animals. She loved traveling and exploring new places, and she worked professionally as a travel agent for a cookware company — coordinating and hosting extravagant incentive trips for the company’s top sellers. She was a true world traveler. Her work took her across the globe, creating unforgettable experiences for others and filling her own life with adventure, culture, and joy. She also naturally stepped into the role of her family’s travel host, planning and leading some of the most fun, memorable, and laughter‑filled trips they ever shared. She was, in every meaningful way, someone who embraced life with curiosity and delight.
Her love of art filled her home. Walking into her space felt like stepping into an experience — colors, textures, and pieces that reflected her creativity and her vibrant spirit. She gave the best hugs and warm kisses on the cheek, and she never missed an opportunity to tell her family she loved them. Her smile reached her eyes, bright and infectious, and she had a way of making everyone feel welcome, included, and cherished.
J’Mee loved life deeply and lived it beautifully. Her warmth, her laughter, and her love will be remembered always.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
