James W. "Jim" Riley's Obituary
James W. “Jim” Riley 96, of Eustis passed away on May 10, 2017. He was born in Duquesne, Pennsylvania and moved to Eustis in 1947 from Orlando. Jim was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Mount Dora, he was a retired teacher having worked at Eustis High School, the Vo-Tech Center in Eustis and retiring from Mount Dora High School. He was a veteran of World War II and was a decorated fighter pilot in the United States Army Air Corp. He was a graduate of the University of Florida. Jim was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his daughter Linda R. Ferguson and her husband Bryan of Eustis, his step sons; Kevin Anderson and Brek Anderson both of Eustis, his grandchildren; Tura Lester, Eric McNeil, Erinn McNeil, Nickie Smith, Holly Rosenthal and Casey Riley, six great grandchildren, his sister; Helen Riley Bagley of Ft. Myers. Also surviving are his daughters in law; Sharon Riley of Umatilla and Sandy Riley of Bradenton. Jim was predeceased by two wives; Mary Ruth Riley and Lucille Riley and two sons; Pat Riley and Jett Riley. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Patrick Catholic Church of Mount Dora on Monday, May 15th at 9 AM, United States Army Honors will follow at the Church. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
