I counted Jim as one of my friends and thoroughly enjoyed when he would play bridge with me. I looked forward to those days. He was so bright and always had something interesting to talk about. I feel blessed to have known him. You are all in my prayers.

Jim had a high level of intellectual curiosity. He was interested in everything and was a huge history buff. I always enjoyed his tongue in cheek, revisionist version of historical events. He was a prolific artist. Our house is full of Jim Timpe originals. His paintings of the four houses we lived in while he was married to my mom, have a prominent place on our wall. Rest in peace!

My sympathies to Margaret and family. When I first played bridge against Jim in 2002 I was a frightened novice. But over time I grew to appreciate and respect Jim as a friend and excellent opponent. His contributions to our bridge club were invaluable and laid the foundation for a strong and vibrant bridge club. May his soul rest in peace. Don Kramer
