We loved his paintings. We bought the 'Snow Leopard", still have it. He also painted us a wild cat, a red fox, and a blue bird. We still have those. He will be greatly missed.##imported-begin##Carol and Philip Messina##imported-end##
Miss you forever. We had so many good times together when we were young and crazy. I'll never forget my trips to Highlands and all the fun times there. What a perfect place for you to be laid to rest.##imported-begin##Bob and Zoe Walker##imported-end##

My friend will be missed, but not forgotten... Some of my fondest memories of living on the "mountain", is of the times I spent with the Darnell's. Christmas's, Thanksgivings, Birthdays... Coffee at ALL hours, great conversation, and laughing till you cry. We had some Great Musical moments with Jimmy, (dueling banjos) and I. Which included all the correct voices & faces! Jim was a art mentor to me. We spent a lot of time talking about, how to sell your art, techniques, styles, & Gools! We had fun scaring the daylights out of the folks at the "swimming hole", at the bottom of the falls. (I was dressed in my Native Regalia for a painting,) They didn't know what was going on...All I can say is, Thanks for your friendship, laughs, and all of the great memories!Big Bear hugs to everyone!##imported-begin##Philip Silverthorn Jr.##imported-end##
Jim was one of the most talented men I've ever met. Not just as an incredible artist, but as a father and grandfather. I am so blessed to have been part of his life for a short time. I will always be thankful that he was such a wonderful influence on Josh. Lynda, Kim and Jimmy, my heart grieves for your loss, but take comfort that someday we will all be together again. I can't help but laugh when I think of Jim standing at the pearly gates asking St. Peter where the coffee is? I'm sure God is getting an ear full!##imported-begin##Russell Boatright & Family##imported-end##
I'll be thinking of you Aunt Lynda. Love to all.##imported-begin##Mary Darnell Latimer##imported-end##

Dear Lynda and Family:"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal;love leaves a memory no one can steal." Lynda, if love could have kept him alive, he would have lived forever. And as Sarah McLachlen sings in her song, Angel, "You're in the arms of the angel, may you find some comfort here." We will never ever forget all the great laughs we had together. And we will think of Jim everyday when we glance at his extraordinary wildlife paintings. Thanks for the good times.Jim and Suzanne##imported-begin##Jim & Suzanne Burris##imported-end##
What can I say about my sweet buddy!!! He was my brother-in-law, but I loved him like a brother. He has made me laugh so many times in my life that I wouldn't be able to count them!!! I'll always think of him creating a beautiful painting, singing or humming, cracking us up with a story or some funny lines from the movie "Arthur", and being such a blessing to my family.I'm so thankful I was able to be close to him the last years of his life. His sparkling blue eyes with that little twinkle in them would make anyone smile!!!When I walked in the room, and he would look up and smile at me it made my heart smile. He was very precious to all of my sister Lynda's family. We all loved him like a brother, and will miss him until we get to see him again!!! We love you Jim!!!##imported-begin##Sue Smith Squires##imported-end##
