Jack Gibson's Obituary
Jack Gibson, 86, of Mount Dora passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012. A native of Dorton, Kentucky he had been a resident of this area for the past 40 years coming from Cincinnati, Ohio. An automotive mechanic by trade, he was also a proud Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post# 8087. In his spare time, he was an avid coin collector. Survivors include one son; Jack of Selah, Washington, one brother, Charles, Cincinnati, Ohio, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by four brothers; Buford, Oral, Junior & Guy Gibson and a sister, Juanita Gibson.Friends called Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. at the Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Directors, 326 Orange Avenue, Eustis, FL. Funeral Services were held Monday, November 12, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1901 County Road 25-A, Leesburg, with Dr. Alan Holden of the Midway Baptist Church, Leesburg officiating.Memorials may be sent to the charity or Veterans organization of your choosing.
