Ialene Melchiorre's Obituary
Ialene H. Melchiorre, 88, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025. She was born on January 17, 1937, in Pelham, Georgia, to Ellis Lee Howell and Vertice Whigham. At a young age, she moved to Florida, where she spent the rest of her life.
Ialene was a devoted member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Mount Dora, Florida. She was also a life member of the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, a life member of the Central Florida Dog Hunters Association, and an active member of the Elks.
She dedicated 30 years of service as a loan officer at SunTrust Bank before retiring. Beyond her career, she found joy in gardening, soaking up the sun at the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
On June 1, 1956, she married the love of her life, Oswald Andrea Melchiorre III, in Harrison County, Mississippi. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two sons, Michael Andrea Melchiorre and Marcus Howell Melchiorre, both of whom predeceased her.
Ialene leaves behind a loving family, including her three grandchildren, Michael (Ashley) Melchiorre, Jennifer (Rex) Cook, and Desiree (Jason) Moss; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
