To Em, Zann and Kane, though many years have passed, we have such wonderful memories of all of you as our Ft. Myers neighbors. And especially of Grable towing his much loved boat (was it the Boss Lady?) down the street to fish the waters off Sanibel- every chance he got. He worked hard and played hard and was the consummate outdoors man! Chris Lowman just adored the times Grable asked him to go fishin! And we had many wonderful southern home cooked meals there with the greatest southern cook we knew, Em Parker! He was a true southern gentleman and a proud “girl dad”,

Grable, I'm grateful for the trust you put in me through the last 7 years caring for Rhett and Scarlett. You've become more of a grandfather to me then a client. Your unwavering loyalty through the years means more than I was able to get a chance to tell you. My Crew and I will miss your weekly visits. We promise to make sure and find a loving permanent home for your furkids. And to your family I extend my heartfelt condolences. Please know that I am here for you and share in your sorrow and hope that the cherished memories we hold will bring some comfort amidst the pain of loss.
I was a friend and classmate of Grable during all our school years in Eustis. Many years later when my husband and I were living in Allendale, S.C., we saw him again as he was working watermelons there for a short time each summer. We didn't see him often, but he was always thoughtful to remember us and leave a few watermelons each summer at my husband's business.
We were sorry to hear of his passing and are sending prayers for all his family and friends. What I remember most about Grable was his keen sense of humor. I know he will be missed by all his family and friends.
