Gerald R. "Jerry" Schlott's Obituary
Gerald R. “Jerry” Schlott 78, of Astor, passed away on January 21, 2015. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan and moved to Astor in 1996 from La Porte, Texas. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean War era. Gerald was a member of St. Hubert’s Catholic Church of Astor, a Charter Member of the Astor Moose Club, a member of the Astor Community Association, the V.F.W. of Astor and the Eagles of Lynn, Florida. Jerry worked as a self-employed home building contractor. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed any type of fishing and winning at poker. He will be greatly missed by both his friends and family. Survivors include his wife Mary, they were married for 50 years. Also surviving are his son, Thomas Schlott of Chandler, Arizona, daughter, Patricia Schlott of Astor, Florida, brother, David Schlott of Tucson, Arizona, sister, Susan Brunette of Lavonia, Michigan and two grandchildren; Dylan Schlott and Sierra Schlott.
