Gerald Stephen Foster's Obituary
Jerry Foster, 70, of Grand Island, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 13, 2014 as the sun was rising. He was born in North Conway, New Hampshire, on September 18, 1943 and grew up in Stow and Fryeburg, Maine. He graduated from Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, Maine in 1961. Jerry was a Christian having received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1995. He and Paula moved to Lake County, FL in 1998 from Chatham, New Hampshire. Jerry was a heavy equipment operator and the owner of Jerry Foster Corporation of East Conway and Glen, New Hampshire; he also was a member of IUOE (International Union of Operating Engineers) Local 98 of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. After retiring from heavy construction, Jerry worked in the security division of Waterman Village in Mount Dora, FL. Jerry and Paula were married for 46 years. His family includes his wife, Paula; their children, Stephen and Suzanne Foster of Newfields, New Hampshire, and Kelly and Chad Brooks of Long Beach, Mississippi; their grandchildren, Wyatt Foster, Garrett Foster, Thomas Brooks and Laura Brooks; his sister, Eleanor Durgan of Waldoboro, Maine; and his brothers, Maynard Foster of Fryeburg, Maine and who is deceased, Harold Foster of California, Henry Foster of Fryeburg, Maine, and John Foster of Conway, New Hampshire.
