George Anthony "Tony" Pidgeon's Obituary
Obituary for George Anthony “Tony” Pidgeon
George Anthony “Tony” Pidgeon, 64, of Florida, passed away on February 24, 2026. Born on June 10, 1961, in St. Petersburg, Florida, Tony was the son of George Douglas Pidgeon and Ellen Harrelson. He grew up with a natural curiosity about the world around him—an early fascination that later inspired him to build and operate his own successful survey business. His work reflected his precision, dedication, and deep pride in doing things the right way.
Known affectionately as “Tony” by family and friends, he was a man of diverse passions. He enjoyed the quiet patience of coin collecting and the peaceful thrill of remote-control sail boating. A loyal sports fan, Tony especially loved cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His home and heart were filled with the music of the 1970s and 1980s, a soundtrack that accompanied many cherished moments throughout his life.
Tony is survived by his loving siblings: Holly Herrington of Mount Dora, Florida; Heather (Jeremy) Johnston of Jacksonville, Florida; and Lou Harrelson (Sharon Bennett) of Ocala, Florida. He leaves behind nephews Blake Herrington, Steve Johnston, and Jeff Whitaker, all of whom had a special place in his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George Pidgeon and Ellen Harrelson, as well as his brother Charlie Harrelson.
Those who knew Tony will remember him for his sense of humor, gentle spirit, and the quiet joy he found in the simple pleasures of life. His memory will remain a lasting treasure in the hearts of those who loved him.
