George "Bobby" Hamby's Obituary
It is with great sadness, we announce that George (Bobby) Douglas Hamby age 69 of Sorrento, FL passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares, FL.
Bobby, a long time Florida resident, was born in Marion, VA on July 30, 1951. A retired jockey/ horse trainer, Bobby enjoyed all wildlife, fishing and spending time with his friends and family.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Robert C. Hamby Sr. And Geneva Bell Newman Hamby; siblings RC Hamby Jr., David W Hamby, & Dorothy L Hamby Johnson.
He is survived by sister Shirley Hamby Horton (David) of Sorrento, FL and Brother Donald H Hamby of Orlando, FL.
Bobby will be missed every day by loving nieces & nephews, and numerous friends.
The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on the tribute wall.
Services have been entrusted to Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Directors, Eustis.
