George C. Taveirne's Obituary
Mr. George C. Taveirne, of Tavares, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the age of 60 years. Born in Detroit, MI, he moved to Tavares in 1960. George was a veteran of the US army and served in Vietnam. He was employed by Jacob's Engineering in Greenville, SC and was known worldwide as an outstanding Industrial Electrical Superintendant. George enjoyed Golf, fishing and was an avid Florida Gator fan. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Eustis. George leaves behind many friends and loved ones, including his sons, Scott (Judith) Taveirne and Jason Taveirne, all of Odum, GA; sisters, Carol (Earl) Ollila of Detroit, MI and Paula Andrus of Niceville, FL; devoted companion, Barbara Fullwood of Fernandina Beach, FL and 3 grandchildren, Michael (18), Ryan (16) and Joshua (2). Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 8 from 11 am - 12 noon with a funeral service starting at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 237 East Marks St., Orlando, FL 32803. Arrangements entrusted to Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Directors, 326 E.
