I had the pleasure of getting to know Frank early in my career and after he retired. I had some great talks with him when he stopped by 29 for ice in the hot afternoons, overheated of course, wearing his white T-shirts with long pants stuffed into a pair of white rubber boots. Quite often he had greens and those wonderful sweet potato pies. He will go down in my book as one of the kindest, gentle and most important, a man who loved the Lord. See you on the other side brother.
It is with great sadness I hear of his passing.
Frank was my EMT frequently and a great pleasure to work with.
Allways great spirited and with humor.
He was also a great friend in the difficult times.
I shall remember him fondly..

Mr. Frank was inspiring and a mentor to me.
Anytime someone mentions "I'm a Clewiston boy" I always think of Frank. He had the kind heart and soft voice that made people feel good....made them want to be around him. Very sad a great man had to go but feel he was needed upstairs to make it better than he found it up there also. Rest well...... JAG
I loved Frank, He was a very strong man. He help me to become a better firefighter, teaching me techniques in staying safe, while guiding me through the racial tensions that existed during the 80's. His cool calm demeanor stood strong and he never wavered from his commitment and dedication of being a spiritual man. I lost contact with Frank after he retired. He got to meet his brother last year and I did not follow up on contacting him.
To the family, May the loving kindness of our loving God Jehovah bless and comfort you in the days, weeks, months and years ahead.
My deepest sympathy to the family. I worked with Frank at the FD. He was a good and kind man and always a pleasure to work with. RIP Frank and go with God.
I was not on the same shift as Frank at OCFD but sometime worked on his shift and always enjoyed chatting with him. He as a fine man. Being from Zellwood I also recall him working with Marvin Barrett at the local water company. In addition to being a great individual and firefighter he was a wonderful farmer. I would go out to his place and get collard greens that he raised. I have told the story many time about how clean they were, heck you could put them right in the pot, they almost didn't need washing. The sweet potato pies his wife made could not be beat either. Rest well my friend.
