A truly all around beautiful lady
Ellen and I met at Lake-Sumter '66 -67. We had a connection, but our lives went in different directions, and we didn't stay in touch. When I read her obituary this morning I felt chills, and kept checking for something that would make it not be her. Enjoyed e-mailing w/ you, Gordon, after Eric's passing. I worked at FNB with Pat Timmons as my Head Teller and Ellen worked in the Trust Department, during the early 70's. What a joy to work with them, so full of life and living each day to the fullest. They were such good friends and we learned so much from them. Always in a good mood, friendly and willing to share time with us. I've missed seeing all those good people as the times changed and the independent banks became a thing of the past. I am so sorry for your loss and wish you comfort for your pain. What a wonderful lady Ellen was! I so enjoyed knowing her and the walks around Lake Gracie that we would share on nights we would see each other. She will be greatly missed.

I worked with Ellen from late 66- early 69 at Waterman Dietary. We were young and had tons of fun. My younger brother Steve worked with her when I went in the Navy. Saw her over the years. She never lost her smile and goodwill towards others. To family: may God Bless and keep you. To Ellen: you will always have a fond place in my heart and memories. Mike Lester
I will always remember Ellen as being a being a kind hearted soul who loved everyone and loved collecting rabbits. Our staff at Dr. Driggers always enjoyed her being in our office.....she loved her family with all her heart and was a truly special person! Heaven just received a special angel. When I started to really pay attention to what the Bible tells us, I read about what a fine wife should be like, and I immediately thought of Ellen. She was all those things. The only truly Biblical wife and mother I have ever known. My brother was blessed to have had such a wonderful woman for his wife. It's never enough to say "I'm sorry" for your loss, but my heart breaks for Gordon, April and 'grammys' babies along with the rest of us that were fortunate to have her touch our lives.
