Elizabeth "Gail" Brown's Obituary
Elizabeth Gail Brown of Mount Dora, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the age of 73 years. She was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to Foren and Florence Cuddihy. Gail moved to Mount Dora from Miami in 1983. She was a stewardess and retired from Eastern Airlines after 31 years of service working with them from 1960 until 1991. Locally, she worked for Mount Dora Estate Jewelry and later at Kermit’s Key Lime Shoppe. She was a member of the Lakes & Hills Garden Club and attended the First United Methodist Church, Mount Dora. Gail could often be found at Jeremiah’s Restaurant. She is remembered by her nephews, Neil Steeves, Kevin Steeves and Eric Steeves, all of Colorado and Chris Cuddihy of Nova Scotia, Canada; niece Kelly Cuddihy of Nova Scotia; and step-sons, Mark Brown of Texas and Matthew Brown of Georgia. Gail was preceded in death by her husband David Brown in October 2012, her brother, Tom Cuddihy and her sister, Carol Cuddihy. A memorial ceremony will be held in the First United Methodist Church, Mount Dora, on June 4th at 11 AM. Arrangements are entrusted to Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, Eustis, FL.
