Elinor Ruth Cain's Obituary
Elinor Ruth Cain 92, formerly of Eustis and Mount Dora passed away on May 9, 2011.She was a beloved wife, mother, teacher and friend. Elinor was the daughter of George G. and Alice Mulder Wieland and was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was an educator and the retired Chairman of the Language Department of Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park, New York. She was a member of Unity Court #34 Order of the Amaranth, the Lake County Ladies Chorus, Friends of the Library, Phi Beta Kappa and St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Eustis. She is survived by her children Janet E. (Louis) Cochran of Las Vegas, Nevada, Gordon A. (Kim) Cain of Glen Allen, Virginia and Barbara A. (Grant) Froman of York, Pennsylvania and her grandchildren Katie L. (fiancé Eric Force) Froman of York, Pennsylvania, Grant W. Froman of York, and Brandon A. (fiancé Tiffany McGehee) Cain of Glen Allen, Virginia. Elinor was predeceased by her husband Nelson and her brother Gordon A. Wieland. Funeral Services were held Thursday, May 19th at 10 A.M. in St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Eustis with The Rev. C. Joseph Sitts officiating. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. The family requests those desiring direct memorials to Reading is Fundamental (RIF), the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
