Elbert H. Foster's Obituary
Elbert H. "Al" Foster of Eustis passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the age of 49 years. He was born in Landstuhl, Germany while his father was stationed there in the Army. The family returned to Florida from Germany when Al was 3 years old. He proudly served his country in the US Navy in the Gulf War. After his military service, he worked hard to become a master electrician, working on commercial and residential electric. He became a seasoned traveler, working all over the United States. Al loved to play poker. He also enjoyed karaoke. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Allyn and Lana Jones Foster and his brother, Todd Harrison Foster. He is survived by his wife, Kristine; sons, Christopher Foster of Eustis and Jonah Foster, a senior at Umatilla High School; daughter, Patience Foster of Eustis; step-son, Chance Russell of Eustis; and two grandchildren, Derek Rhodes, Jr. and Jeremiah Foster, both of Eustis. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 16 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM at the VFW in Mount Dora. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
