Efigenia Cruz's Obituary
Efigenia Cruz of Grand Island, Florida passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the age of 87 years. She was born in San German, Puerto Rico. She and her husband moved to this area in 1997 from Puerto Rico. Efigenia was a homemaker and loving wife and mother. She was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church in Eustis. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Eva Cruz. Efigenia is remembered and will be dearly missed by her husband of 72 years, Ladislao; son, Ladislao Cruz, Jr.; daughters, Iris Davis of Leesburg, FL, Maria Larabee of Minooka, IL and Ana Lydia Cruz of Mount Dora, FL; as well as numerous brothers and sisters; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing of Tuesday, January 19 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel. Mass of the Resurrection will start at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 20 at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, 218 Ocklawaha Avenue, Eustis, FL 32726. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memory Gardens in Eustis. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
